The position of Regional Sales Manager is remote and responsible for sales in a targeted assigned region for the Marmon Electrical Industrial group and it's various fire safety products. The Regional Sales Manager will travel and estimated 70% of the time within designated territory.

Remote Role, in TX area preferred

Essential Duties:

  • Identify, target, and develop relationships with engineering firms, contractors, and OEM accounts to promote brand recognition of all designated products for the Industrial Infrastructure Group.
  • Implement pull through strategies with key distributors.
  • Provide business plans and strategies for penetrating target accounts/markets.
  • Provide competitive landscape and market analysis.
  • Forecast revenue and profit goals.
  • Ensure development activities are in accordance with the company strategy.
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relationships across all levels of key accounts.
  • Establish specification position for projects.
  • Gather project or product details from customer.
  • Work with other departments i.e., engineering, quality, finance etc. to communicate specific customer requirements.
  • Prepare, and conduct presentations.
  • Represent company at trade shows, association meetings, and other functions.
  • Maintain compliance with all Group Environmental, Health and Safety policies.
  • Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree, either technical or business preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience with a record of achieving sales goals in technical sales.
  • Background in wire and cable sales a plus.
  • Background in datacom, low voltage, or life safety (circuit integrity) markets a plus.

Knowledge and Skills Preferred:

  • Strong ability to be organized and manage a heavy overnight travel schedule (70% of the time)
  • Ability to manage multistate sales territory and meet revenue targets.
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical aspects of Infrastructure Group products
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to interface on a technical level with internal and external customers.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize, organize and manage time sensitive issues.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car.
  • Team oriented individual who can easily collaborate with others.
  • Experience with CRM system (i.e., Salesforce) a plus.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work long hours in a sedentary position sitting, talking, looking at a computer, charts/graphs and performing repetitive motions.
  • Ability to move objects and materials of at least 25lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy.
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE when onsite
